Day 5

Subject: [firstname]: You can be everywhere at once

Hey [firstname]!

I'm sure you've heard the old saying “out of sight, out of mind”. It's particularly true on social media where there's a lot of information available and people tend to have short attention spans. For that reason you need to be everywhere all the time for your social media marketing campaign to be successful.

Be sure to post new material to your social media accounts regularly – preferably every day. If you're on a lot of different social media platforms (and you should be) this can be very time consuming. Big corporations have full-time employees who do nothing else but keep all their social media accounts updated.

That's way beyond the budgets of most small and medium sized businesses, though.

A simple and cost effective way to achieve the same end is to simply re-purpose content.

For example: You could write a post on Facebook and cut it down to 280 characters and tweet it on Twitter. Take that same Facebook post, convert it into a PowerPoint presentation (with a few pictures mixed in), turn it into a video using software like Camtasia and post it on YouTube. Grab some stills from the YouTube videos, turn them into memes and share them on Instagram and Pinterest.

That's 5 platforms covered with effectively the same content! As each “version” is slightly different, you're not likely to get hit with a duplicate content “slap”.

Pretty neat, eh?

PS. Something else that's pretty neat is to grab a copy of my social media marketing manual. Here's the link: [link to sales page].
